James’s parents were married 90 years ago on this date. They were somehow friends with Al Capone and his official photographer. That is who filmed the event. His safe house was in the area. We heard his mother sneaked out as a teenager to go over there for their parties.

The church was too dark for interior shots, so we have them arriving, leaving, and then the party at the farm of one of their families. This is not the country life I would expect during the Great Depression, and my farming family certainly never had the money for such cars, clothes, and hats!
